Welcome To Our School

The Montessori Children’s House of Kenosha, founded in 1978, is an independent, private Montessori pre-school and kindergarten that educates children 2 1/ 2 through 6 years old. Praised by parents and educators, Montessori Children’s House has grown into a vibrant community of children educated in an authentic Montessori classroom.

MCH respects children as different from adults and as individuals who learn at their own pace.  We recognize the "preschool years" as critical years for learning and that children create themselves through purposeful activity.  MCH also believes that children flourish in a joyful atmosphere, which balances intellectual stimulation, creativity and love.  We help children capture the joy of learning and become confident, competent learners for life.

"We have been a family at Montessori Children's House for the past 4 years and absolutely love it. The teachers are so wonderful and patient with the children. We believe that our kids are getting exceptional early childhood education because MCH teaches children how to learn and sets the stage for the rest of their education. Our two oldest graduated Kindergarten reading and doing multiplication! We recommend MCH to everyone."

"I could not be more happy with the environment, teachers, and learning opportunities at Montessori Children's House! The classroom is set up so the children are very independent, and the confidence my sons have gained from being so capable in their daily environment is amazing to see. My children (and myself) love that they are able to work at their own pace, and the teachers always encouraged them and provided individualized opportunities for them. I have spent countless hours in schools over the years as a parent and a professional, and I am confident in saying the teachers at MCH are the BEST! They are so kind, patient and loving to all of the students, and it is a huge blessing that the kids are able to build on this relationship with their teachers throughout their several years at the school.

Both of my boys have gone through the program at MCH through their Kindergarten year. Their true understanding of concepts, love of learning, and an open mind has been nourished by the teachers and environment at the school. I couldn't be more thankful!
