MEET OUR STAFF

Mrs. Mahant began her search in 1999 for a nurturing preschool for her eldest son when he was 3 years old.  She discovered the Montessori Children's House and instantly fell in love with the warm, passionate, caring staff in a cozy school. When her youngest child started at MCH, Mrs. Mahant became interested in growing with the school and became an Assistant Teacher at MCH. After 3 years she decided to become a Lead Teacher and received her Montessori Certification at the North American Montessori Center in 2006 when she began teaching at The Montessori Children's House.  In 2008 she became re certified at Heartland Montessori Teacher Education Center in Moline, IL.  To date, she continues to be the Lead Teacher at MCH. Since then she has received many Certificates through training programs and workshops on different Montessori subjects. All three of Mrs. Mahant's sons are MCH alumni.  In addition to Montessori, Mrs. Mahant is a graduate from Carthage College with a B A in Chemistry and Natural Science and worked at S C Johnson as a research scientist.  She resides in Kenosha, WI. with her husband and her family. We welcome Janet as our new School Administrator.

Mrs. Niles started working at Montessori Children’s House as an assistant in the fall of 1982, she received her teaching certificate from Midwest Montessori Teacher Training College in 1984.  She left MCH in 1987 to work in the Christian school her children were attending and opened a Montessori classroom there in 1990.

Mrs. Niles returned and became the Administrator of the Montessori Children’s House in 1998 through today. After returning to MCH she became re-certified In 2007 at the Heartland Teacher Education Center, and has attended numerous training throughout her years here. In 2017 she went on a missions trip to help set up a Montessori School in Kanyakumari, India, with plans to return in 2018.

Madame Rollet has been calling Montessori Children's House her home since 1996 when her first son attended the school at 2 1/2 years old. All three of her boys attended MCH while she worked as a French teacher at Armitage Academy and tutored students in French at many of Kenosha's local schools. In 2002 she began teaching French at MCH before joining the staff as an Assistant Teacher in 2004. Madame Rollet was born in the USA,  was educated in France from Elementary school until she graduated from Ecole Internationale Tunon with a degree in Humanities and Tourism in the University of Caen before returning to the USA in 1985. She is always excited to share her French culture and language with her students at the Montessori Children's House. Since then she has received many Certificates through training programs and workshops on different Montessori subjects.  Madame Rollet resides in Kenosha, WI. with her husband and her family.

Mrs. Nieze began her journey in the 1980's as a Montessori parent. After seeing positive results in her two children through an authentic curriculum, she decided to pursue a career as an assistant in a growing school in Highland Park IL.  In 1990 Mrs. Nieze enrolled at the Montessori Centers Associated in Illinois to obtain her Paraprofessional Course Certificate . Once she received her Certificate she opened the first 2 year old classroom with a lead teacher at the Highland Park Montessori School where her children had attended. In 2004 Mrs. Nieze started working at the Montessori Children's House in Kenosha, WI. as an assistant to Mrs. Niles. Her love for the Montessori Method and the environment at the school had her wanting to be certified as a Lead Teacher. In 2005 Mrs. Nieze graduated from the United Montessori Association in Bainbridge, WA. and received her Teacher Certification. Mrs. Nieze became Lead Teacher at MCH. Since then she has received many Certificates through training programs and workshops on different Montessori subjects and has Administrative experience in a Montessori School. In 2013 Mrs. Nieze was asked to open an authentic Montessori program for a temporary school in Burlington, WI. Born in Argentina and fluent in Spanish she enjoys teaching the children Spanish. Mrs. Nieze left MCH for a brief time and now is back to her home away from home. She resides in Burlington, WI. with her husband and enjoys her time she gets when she sees all her grandchildren.
