MEET OUR STAFF
Mrs. Mahant began her search in 1999 for a nurturing preschool for her eldest son when he was 3 years old. She discovered the Montessori Children's House and instantly fell in love with the warm, passionate, caring staff in a cozy school. When her youngest child started at MCH, Mrs. Mahant became interested in growing with the school and became an Assistant Teacher at MCH. After 3 years she decided to become a Lead Teacher and received her Montessori Certification at the North American Montessori Center in 2006 when she began teaching at The Montessori Children's House. In 2008 she became re certified at Heartland Montessori Teacher Education Center in Moline, IL. To date, she continues to be the Lead Teacher at MCH. Since then she has received many Certificates through training programs and workshops on different Montessori subjects. All three of Mrs. Mahant's sons are MCH alumni. In addition to Montessori, Mrs. Mahant is a graduate from Carthage College with a B A in Chemistry and Natural Science and worked at S C Johnson as a research scientist. She resides in Kenosha, WI. with her husband and her family. We welcome Janet as our new School Administrator.
